Much awaited wait came to an end, count down had begun and we were all set to hit road of Ooty hills. We were in all 13 people, two couple who were made for each other, 6 guys and last but not the least 3 chicks as well ;). It all begun on Saturday morning 25th April with 3 cars hitting the Mysore highway, we started as scheduled around 6am and had breakfast in Kamat. Needless to say about the Mysore road one of my favorite road to drive on. Never imagined of having more fun than driving until Mr. Mayank put his head outside the car window, only to watch is goggles making an affair with Mysore road… Jiger and Rupesh were the lucky fellas as their car was always jam packed and marketing for Kingfisher were also going on
With all smiling faces we were riding up the hill, clicking snaps here and there and we were able reach Ooty around 2pm. No school bells but is lunch time and we had to jump in for food, required fuel is added and people moved to CCD, mean while me and Chaz had to meet few of his relatives… As sun started moving toward west we did not want to waste any more time. We were all set to explore Parsons valley, can say it as one of the hidden secrets in Ooty. Nice back water view with dam built across it, and nature was at its best. Could not have asked for a pleasent weather and Gods creation at its best. Never felt like leaving from there, but will be there pity soon. We had to walk back to the place where we left our vehicle, It was good couple of Km walk up the slope. It made people sweat especially Jiger trying to catch up Ekta and Nancy who were moving ahead with brisk pace with ease
Good time spent in Ooty, people bought chocolates and we were all set to drive down the hill and jump into the jungle resort, Only our gang was there in the entire jungle resort which could only add on to the excitement, Camp fire was set with music on and bartender setting things straight for what had been a tiring day. People chilled out and with Chaz in full form started from his boarding school story I had to go through the emotions one more time sitting with him
As we ran out of wood few people moved for sleep, and few fresh brains were around playing card game Management, Sam with his managerial skills blew away all the other participant and won the game comfortably, and I had the least management skills with the cards and ended up last
It was 4:30 in the morning when the card game ended, thought of getting some sleep before we head for trekking. Just peeped in the room and guys were all around the bed and I slept in the hammock watchin the stars it was a nice experience… I was sure not many head wil turn out for trek and as expected only 4 were there. Jiger, me, Nancy and Ekta were up and went ahead with the trek, initial part of the trek was much challenging not for the climb but for the dogs chasing us. We might have done about 5 kms and we were into one water falls, not much water though as it was off season. I was eager in climbing up as always, but we had to come back and join our guys. We went to one farm house in Jeep which remained me of the Buruderkadu trip… Got some fruits from farm house, by the time we came back lunch was ready attacked and were all set to drive back the long way….
On the way back we went into Gopalswamy betta, which again is a hill station where in we can do a nice trekking. Ma legs were curious but it was getting late as well, will cover it up some other day. Got into Mysore palace it was Sunday night so it had full lights on and palace was glittering, finished food in dhaba and drove back home….
Not feeling like finishing this blog, but eagerly awaiting my next chance to compose a new blog, overall it was neatly organized by Rupesh, Jiger and don’t want to mention Chaz efforts as we all knew what he did….
Entire team wishing Chaz on his future…. All the best.
